    Learning Outcomes

    As a result of this activity the participant will be able to:

  • identify and describe the scientific, physiologic, clinical and pedagogical perspectives associated with the training, assessment, and treatment of the performing voice.
  • list the common characteristics and symptoms of the injured performer.
  • summarize the medical/surgical versus behavioral treatment of voice disorders in performers.
  • identify the characteristics of safe and efficient voice use by, and the appropriate voice training of performers.
  • describe the appropriate professionals involved in working with the injured performing voice and each professional’s responsibilities.

We will follow the University of Washington’s guidelines for COVID-19. Masks are optional outside of health-care settings, and we ask that you respect individuals’ choices regarding mask wearing. For the safety and health of all attendees we ask that you not attend the conference if you are exhibiting any symptoms associated with COVID.
