In response to the current novel coronavirus/COVID-19 outbreak and the risk it poses to our most vulnerable populations, the 2020 "The Art & Science of the Performing Voice" conference, scheduled for May 15 & 16, has been canceled, in accordance with current state and University of Washington policies to reduce and prevent the spread of the coronavirus. If you have already registered, your registration fee will be refunded in full. Eventually, we will plan for a 2021 conference and will let you know when that is in the works.

In lieu of an in-person conference, we will be hosting a free webinar on Tuesday, June 23rd at 5:00 PM (PST). This 90-minute session will feature several of our keynote speakers, as well as an interprofessional panel discussing current topics in voice. Please click here  for more details.

For now, the health and safety of our attendees, planners, and local community are our first concern. Our community, as well as so many others throughout the country and the world, are struggling during this very difficult situation. Our thoughts are with everyone who is impacted by this pandemic.

"Our common humanity calls on us now to offer support, empathy and understanding to those most affected by this virus. All of us, as individuals and as a community, are responsible for treating each other with kindness and empathy. We are best equipped to deal with any threat to health when we work together."
